This often means that people don’t think to have their chimneys cleaned until right before winter, usually in late fall. Surprisingly, now may actually be the best time of the year to have your chimney cleaned? Why exactly is that? Well for one thing, most people aren’t thinking about it like we said. That means the wait to have it done is typically nonexistent. If you have it done at the end of fall, you risk having to wait additional days or weeks.
But that’s not even the most important reason why you should have your chimney cleaned in the spring or summer. Often times, chimneys become damaged by snow or ice throughout the winter, and you may not even realize it until you have it inspected. If you’re told about the repairs that need to be made in spring, you have a bit more time to get the job done.
