Clean Air Systems: a Short Story

People spend most of their daily lives inside of buildings. From waking up in a bedroom to working at the office or store and then retiring back home at the end of the day, a person can easily spend anywhere from 60 percent to 90 percent of their day indoors. Because of this, many people can go hours without getting a single breath of fresh air.

All this time away from the outside world can bring a whole bunch of unintended consequences. For instance, let’s take a look at the day in the life of a healthy adult male; for our sake, we’ll name him Tony.

Tony is very good to his own body, and he’s incredibly aware of the importance of staying healthy. He eats a diet that is full of fruits and vegetables, and makes sure to work out on a regular basis every few days. And yet, recently he’s been attacked by sinus problems, sneezing and many other allergy symptoms that never seemed to affect him before. No matter what he tries, whether its tea, Vaseline or steaming the sinuses, nothing takes the cold symptoms away for too long.

Instead of a medical disorder, Tony’s showing signs that there are issues with the cleanliness of the air systems he comes into contact with each day. Many clean air organizations are very aware of the dangers of unclean air duct systems. For example, Healthy Buildings International reports that 50.9 percent of all cases of sick building syndrome are caused by dirty vents and circulation systems. The American College of Allergists further states that half of all illnesses are either caused or exacerbated by indoor air pollution.

What’s worse, Tony’s condition could be caused by an air duct system that’s out of his control. Many people spend the better part of their days at their workplace. Any contamination issues with these ducts affect his health, putting a large liability on the owners of commercial buildings or apartment facilities where Tony or other people like him work and reside.

Throughout Toronto, there are buildings in need of professional air duct cleaning services to protect the health of their inhabitants. When you need the job done right, Superior Air Duct Cleaning will make sure that everyone stands a fighting chance against indoor air pollution.
